BRIEF: After Grant Caunter reassessed his life, and his health, during the pandemic, he embraced the burgeoning zero alcohol offers in Europe. On returning to New Zealand, he saw an opportunity to make a zero alcohol beer that doesn’t compromise on taste, a beer that doesn’t affect your state of play. Introducing New Zealand’s only 100% zero alcohol brewery – State of Play Beer. We were tasked with creating the brand, packaging and marketing material for the brand.

APPROACH: Our branding and packaging had to be full of life, positive, and celebrate the choice to be healthier. Whereas some zero alcohol drinks emblazon their packaging with ‘zero’ in huge letters, we wanted to present a great tasting beer, that just happens to contain zero alcohol.
